who, what, when, where, and why

It all started in a small one car garage back in 2014. Florida has always been a creative dead zone when it comes to alternative surfcraft… so I figured I may as well try my hand at board building and attempt to create the kind of boards no one else was making locally.

My first shape was horrendous- if you see it (it’s at my shop!) you’ll wonder if I had ever even seen a surfboard before. The next 10 weren’t much better. The learning curve was steep, the cost substantial, and time was limited. For some reason I enjoyed it all well enough to stick with it and built a somewhat viable business from it all.

Everything I make is done by hand - no CNC machines or precut crap. My small “factory” WÜNDERGLASS in Melbourne, Florida handles glasswork for other shapers, repair work, and is where all Nebulas are created.

That brings us to the present…

As of today, November 26, 2024 I have not ridden a surfboard for a little over a year… I caught my first wave on a surf mat in 2023 and have been completely hooked on them since. Now I make them, but you know that already- that’s why you’re reading this.
